Hi Friends!

My name is Roxanne Lapuyade and I am a chef, food blogger, and content creator. I love to make food fun and easy. My style is seasonal, vegetable-centric and full of flavor. I’ve created this space to share my years of experience with you by offering recipes, tips, hacks, and inspiration. When our bodies are nourished, we are better prepared to live our best life! 

I previously was the owner and chef of Roxanne’s Cafe in San Luis Obispo, CA for six years. My early training started at a food co-op where I worked as the produce manager and learned about health-focused foods, fasting, specialty diets and supporting local. When I was ready to leave the co-op, I connected with a young French chef who trained me to be her sous chef.

I spent a year absorbing everything I could about the industry and cooking on a large scale. This was a pivotal time, bridging what I learned at the co-op and applying it in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

I left this restaurant to open Roxanne’s Cafe which was a project of the heart. I ran that special little cafe with all of my ideals at the forefront. I established my personal food style there as I worked with seasonal ingredients to develop the weekly changing menu. When the time came to close the doors of Roxanne’s Cafe, I was recruited to help launch a casual, health-focused breakfast & lunch spot for a boutique hotel in downtown San Luis Obispo, CA. It was such an honor to assist with this project. 

Through a wide variety of culinary offerings, I hope to give inspiration and encouragement for wherever you are on your food journey.
